Hailing from The Hague, Holland, The Stiff play songs from the era 1976-1982, the days of punk, ska and new wave. Together with the era around 1960 these are the most inspiring and most energetic years in the history of pop music. Also an era with a lot of one hit wonders and amazingly good songs, made by people who barely knew how to hold an instrument, but who had good ideas. They brought us new, unpretentious music with a naive, but fresh look at things! The members of The Stiff all grew up in those days and have been playing in all kinds of bands for many years. Singer Johnny won the Grand Prix of The Netherlands with The Suburbs, drummer Bobby Stiff toured the USA several times with Venus Flytrap, bass player Robbie rocked all over Europe and guitarist Idi was one of the first Dutch musicians to be invited by clubs in the Eastern Block after the fall of the Iron Curtain, to come and play with a band called Brezhnev! With authentic instruments and amplifiers they provide an unforgettable hour of hits and misses that you do not hear on any retro radio station anymore ...
